The Mic Mob Challenges
The Mic Mob is a collective of working commercial and character voice actors. We bring words to life across every corner of the creative world, from YouTube series and podcasts, indie films and commercials, narration and voice overs, as well as our beloved Bethesda game mods for Skyrim, Fallout, and Starfield.
What began as a way to stay sharp has grown into a monthly creative tradition.
Each Mob Challenge features an original short script designed to stretch range, experiment with tone and character, and strengthen home-studio production skills. Members approach the material in their own way, layering performance, music, pacing, and sound design to create fully realized audio pieces. What starts as a few pages of dialogue becomes a study in storytelling and collaboration.
Submissions reflect a wide range of setups and styles, from travel-friendly microphones to full professional rigs. That variety is part of the creative engine. On this blog, you’ll find selected performances and a few behind-the-scenes notes.
The Mob Challenge has become a rhythm within the collective — a space to experiment, refine technique, and explore characters that may never appear in a casting call but still sharpen the craft.

Welcome to the Mob, where voice meets character and craft meets collaboration.
February Challenge: Valentine
February’s Mic Mob challenge, Valentine, invited actors to explore the many faces of a vampire on Valentine’s Day, from playful and seductive to eerie, lonely, and quietly dangerous.
